Mr World receives ‘21 Young Guns’ Award
Mr World was named ‘Indian of the Year’ on Tuesday 30 August at the annual 21 Young Guns Awards, an event promoting the inspiring action of young Asians, in a variety of fields which will help shape the future.
The event, which took place at the Grand Hyatt, in Goa, India was a celebration of the achievements of 21 Asians across the board, from environmental initiatives to political and social action. Mr World, who was named “Indian of the Year”, was awarded for his personal achievements on his rise to become Mr World, and the inspiration and responsibility he holds as a role model not just in India, but across the world.
Rohit: “If your actions inspire people to dream more, learn more, do more and become more then you are a leader. I think as a leader you must know where to go and take that path in full confidence but most important thing is to take your people along. Believe in yourself and have a vision. This is what the youth today needs to know.
“The generation of today can be impatient and I don't blame them because everything is fast but when you are impatient then you lose focus on your goals. My family, my grandparents and my humble upbringing has brought me so far in life and I've enjoyed and learned from every lesson big or small that life threw at me.
“To be awarded as the “Young Gun – Indian of the Year” fills me with pride, and it will motivate me and push myself, to work harder, and to keep inspiring more people and achieve more.”
